An adventure where we'll be SUPing not just between shores but between countries on the Mēmele River from Skaistkalne to Mēmeles village. It's about 16 kilometers and 4–5 hours where the sense of time disappears along with the mobile signal. At the start of our adventure, Mēmele is the border river between Latvia and Lithuania, where on one side of the SUP the paddle is in Lithuania, the other in Latvia, because at one point it seems even the river hasn't decided which country it wants to be in. Along the way, peaceful bends, green shores, silence that doesn't buzz like a hairdryer, and that moment when you realize this day is truly yours. SUPing that requires no experience, just a desire to be in nature and let your mind slip into a well-deserved holiday mode.
SUP boarding is gradually and rapidly taking its place in the world of waters, because it's more interesting and active than regular boating. If you think, nah – I can't SUP and I'll definitely fall in, we'll show you how it's done beforehand, so the ride is enjoyable. And if you're still a bit scared, you can always SUP on your knees or sit like in a boat, which anyone can do. With good SUPs, falling in happens VERY rarely and the stability is amazing.
No one to go with? Often you want to head out for some active fun, but there's no one to join you—friends have other plans, family is busy, and your partner isn't really into it. So feel free to join solo. In our Adventures, you won't feel alone because everyone's on the same path, giving you the chance to have a great time not only in nature but also meeting new people.
Mēmele before Skaistkalne
Let's meet at 11:00 at the meeting point Mēmele before Skaistkalne (Google map / Waze). Here, we’ll organize part of the group’s car logistics to the finish. Once logistics are "DONE," the group leader will give a brief but valuable briefing on SUPing and water safety.
If you’re thinking, I don’t know how to SUP, I’ve never done it, and I’ll fail, then you definitely should come and try it – we guarantee you’ll succeed. Feel free to sign up and join the Adventure, even if you haven’t stepped on a SUP board before. We’ll show you everything and ensure your safety. By following the leader’s instructions and guidelines, it’s nearly impossible to fall in unexpectedly. And if you still don’t feel comfortable or stable on two feet, you can SUP sitting or kneeling on our boards. We often prefer sitting or crouching on the SUP board ourselves, so it’s all cool.
Once everything’s clear, we’re ready to enjoy the SUP Adventure. New friends to meet, time with old friends, and for all of us, picnic breaks, chatter, and a fantastic route along the way. After about ~16km and a few hours of leisurely SUPing, we reach the finish. The finish time is unpredictable, and we’ll finish when we finish, but we’re aiming for around 16:00.
What time do we meet? We meet at 11:00. It’s best to arrive at least 10-15 minutes early because it’s better to be 10 minutes early than 1 minute late.

How to get there? By private transport or with another group member (1-2 days before the event, there will be a WhatsApp group where you can arrange it). It's also possible to go there and back with organizer transport for an additional fee of 10 euros (VERY limited spots, departure from Riga center - Origo)
How long is the distance? We plan to cover ~16km slowly and leisurely.
When will we finish? We’ll finish when we finish, as it depends on our own pace, but the planned finish time is by 16:00.
The plan is just a rough outline and there might be changes, but overall it will be as described above.
The SUP Adventure happens with SUP boards, meaning it's a paddleboarding Adventure where we paddle along a cool route. Our SUP boards are each designed for 1 person, meaning they're single-seaters. On some SUPs, there can be 2 people, meaning they're double-seaters, but in such cases, you must contact us BEFORE signing up for the Adventure, as their number is VERY limited.
We each carry all the gear needed for the adventure on our own SUP board, and there's plenty of space on it. Of course, there's only enough space if the amount is reasonable, not if you've brought a toaster, hairdryer, washing machine, and grandma's hope chest. In that case, you'll need to think about what to leave on the shore.
Before the Adventure, we meet at the pre-arranged spot and organize car shuttling to the end, where they wait for us when we finish the Adventure. You can totally go on this Adventure solo or with one of your group buddies. You can find more info about the logistics in the "Frequently Asked Questions" section of this Adventure.
1 / 9The leader of this Adventure group and your fellow Adventure creator, Raimonds, will be joining you. This means you'll have a hand to hold when climbing a mountain, a shoulder to lean on before a scarier activity, or a buddy to hit up local parties with. Those who've been on an Adventure with him before know you'll go where you probably shouldn't go, do what you probably shouldn't do, and it'll be great - it'll be ADVENTURES.
If you're inclined to whine and be grumpy about little things, then this won't be the right Adventure, as it spoils both the group's microclimate and the mood of other group members. That's why we want to see positive adventurers on our Adventures. The group leader won't "babysit" the picky folks but will simply ignore them to focus on those who want to enjoy the Adventure. The group is small, which usually turns into a very friendly company, so it's not the right place for those who want to "pick fights."

CLOTHING - You'll definitely need weather-appropriate and event-appropriate clothing. Dressing for the weather means checking the forecast the day before the event and preparing your outfit accordingly. If it's raining, wear something rainproof, and if the sun's shining, dress so you're not too hot or cold, etc. Make sure you're comfortable. Also, remember a change of clothes, as this Adventure is on the water and you might get wet. In short, your clothing list might look like this: clothes for water activities, like a swimsuit in warm weather, long pants (ideally waterproof overpants) in cold weather, a sweater/jacket, suitable footwear, and a towel will be handy. Then clothes for when the wind picks up and spare clothes for after the event (in case of an unexpected swim). And it's important to be prepared for rain with a rain jacket, because you never know.
ADDITIONAL ITEMS - insect repellent (if it's "mosquito season"), sunscreen (if sunny weather is expected), a thermos with a drink (if not included in the Adventure), snacks (if not included in the Adventure), etc.
The SUP Adventure is meant for everyone - both those who paddle with a SUP board from morning till night, and those who've never done it before. We'll show, explain, and teach everything.
Our SUPs have a limited capacity, so the weight limit is 120kg. There are no height restrictions, at least we haven't noticed it being important.
Getting to the Adventure start is with your own private transport. If you don't have your own private transport, it's possible to team up and go with other participants of this event. Before the Adventure, we'll try to organize and help so those who drive with their own transport can pick up those who don't, as this way it's possible to share fuel costs (win-win). If this option doesn't suit you, it's possible to go by public transport.
The trip takes place on a river that flows towards the sea. This means we'll end up in a completely different place than where we started.
When we meet, we'll sort out the car shuffling. Someone will leave it at the end, and someone at the start.
You can definitely join by yourself. On the contrary, many people go solo and in that case, you'll have the chance to meet new friends or maybe even find your other half 😉
You can definitely join us with your own SUP board, in that case, the Adventure price will be 15EUR, but drop us a private message so we can sort out the details.
Currently, it's not possible to sign up on our website if you're not using the full package, so drop us a message via email or WhatsApp and we'll sort it out.
You can sign up for the trip on our website by clicking the "SIGN UP" button and filling out the application form located under the Adventure description. Since there are many interested, but not all are actual travelers, an advance payment is required to confirm participation in the Adventure. The amount of the advance payment depends on the specific Adventure. By paying this advance, your spot in the Adventure is confirmed. If you cancel your participation in the Adventure, the advance payment is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to confirm participation in another trip.
You can think about it as long as there are spots available. After that, you can keep thinking, but there won't be any spots left on the trip.
After signing up, note and reserve these dates for yourself, and slowly start preparing. A few days before the Adventure start date, usually at the beginning of that week, but no later than 4-5 days before, you'll receive an informational email with the meeting time and other important "what / where / when" info regarding the Adventure.
There's no physical contract signing. When signing up for an Adventure, after filling out the application form and before making the payment, you can check out the Adventure contract and save it if needed. Paying the advance invoice confirms this particular Adventure contract.
No, it's not possible, because we VERY often find ourselves on adventures outside of Latvia (check the Adventure list on our website). Occasionally, between Adventures, you can catch us in Cēsis.
The trip's vibe and awesomeness largely depend on the travelers themselves, so if you like to stir up trouble or "mess with the minds" of the organizers and other trip participants, then this trip isn't for you. We've had a couple of grumpy ladies before who annoyed everyone, so if you can't control your mood – DON'T COME! The group leader is ALWAYS right (even if they're not), so if you've decided to join, you'll have to listen to them.

Since we receive A LOT of applications but not all turn into actual bookings, your spot is only confirmed and reserved after the deposit is paid.

The entry fee for this fantastic Adventure is 45 EUR. As the event date approaches, the price might go up and the number of spots is VERY limited, so don't wait until the last minute to sign up 😉
