1. How many km can you ride on a single bike battery charge?
It depends on the rider's weight and riding style. A heavier rider requires more power from the bike motor, which means the battery will drain faster, and the same goes for riding aggressively with maximum motor assistance. On average, you can cover 35-45km on a single charge. In Eco or economic mode, it can even be 60-70km.
2. What to do if the e-bike runs out of battery?
If the e-bike's battery runs out, you can still keep riding by pedaling on your own, just like with a regular bike. The only thing is, the bike itself is a bit heavier than a regular one, so the ride might feel a bit tougher.
3. Is it possible to ride in the rain and mud?
Our electric bike is specially designed for riding on not-so-suitable roads and off-roads. Rain won't bother it either.
4. Can beginners participate in the activity?
The E-Bike Adventure is meant for everyone. Riding it is just like any regular bike, but with a little help, making the ride MUCH more enjoyable. We'll show and explain how to use the e-bike, but to join the Adventure, you MUST know how to ride a regular bicycle and follow traffic rules. Knowing how to ride doesn't mean just hopping on and rolling a few meters, but being able to move safely at an average speed (10-15 km/h). Just so you know, we'll show you how to ride an e-bike, but we won't teach you how to ride a bicycle.
5. Are there any restrictions for e-bikes?
We have men's and women's bicycles available. Each of them has restrictions. For example, weight limit. The maximum allowable weight is 95kg for men and 85kg for women, so if you weigh more than this limit 95kg (men's) or 85kg (women's), unfortunately, you won't be able to participate in our bike holiday Adventure. There is no minimum weight limit. The second restriction is height. Our bikes are suitable for riders with a height range of 155-195cm. This means if you're shorter than 155cm or taller than 195cm, our e-bikes won't fit you, and unfortunately, you won't be able to participate in our bike holiday Adventure. The third and most important thing is that you MUST know how to ride a bike. Yes, seriously, because we've had cases where participants sign up for the bike Adventure who don't know how to ride a bike or feel unstable on it.
6. What's the age limit?
Our e-bikes have height limits, so the rider’s height is the main thing. The minimum participant age is 16 years. If you plan to join as a family with children, please make sure your children really want it. This is a group ride, and other participants should not suffer because one child suddenly gets fed up.
7. Will the Adventure take place in unsuitable weather conditions?
We care about the quality and safety of this Adventure, so it will only happen in weather conditions suitable for this Adventure. Whether the weather is suitable is determined by the Adventure group leader, not any of the participants or their friends. In case of cancellation, we will inform you no later than 12 hours in advance (before the start of the Adventure). If canceled, you can reschedule your participation to another preferred date for this Adventure or even an Adventure with equivalent costs, but only if we cancel the event, not if a participant decides to cancel it themselves.
8. Can I go alone?
You can definitely join by yourself. On the contrary, many people go solo and in that case, you'll have the chance to meet new friends or maybe even find your other half 😉
9. How to sign up for an Adventure?
You can sign up for the trip on our website by clicking the "SIGN UP" button and filling out the application form located under the Adventure description. Since there are many interested, but not all are actual travelers, an advance payment is required to confirm participation in the Adventure. The amount of the advance payment depends on the specific Adventure. By paying this advance, your spot in the Adventure is confirmed. If you cancel your participation in the Adventure, the advance payment is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to confirm participation in another trip.
10. How long can I think about it if I want to sign up?
You can think about it as long as there are spots available. After that, you can keep thinking, but there won't be any spots left on the trip.
11. How does the contract signing happen?
There's no physical contract signing. When signing up for an Adventure, after filling out the application form and before making the payment, you can check out the Adventure contract and save it if needed. Paying the advance invoice confirms this particular Adventure contract.
12. Is it possible to sign the contract in person?
No, it's not possible, because we VERY often find ourselves on adventures outside of Latvia (check the Adventure list on our website). Occasionally, between Adventures, you can catch us in Cēsis.
13. When will I receive a more detailed plan?
A more detailed plan than what's on the website isn't offered to participants, so get ready for surprises, because that's way cooler 😉
14. Is there anything else important?
The trip's vibe and awesomeness largely depend on the travelers themselves, so if you like to stir up trouble or "mess with the minds" of the organizers and other trip participants, then this trip isn't for you. We've had a couple of grumpy ladies before who annoyed everyone, so if you can't control your mood – DON'T COME! The group leader is ALWAYS right (even if they're not), so if you've decided to join, you'll have to listen to them.
