What is this?

This is a magical Adventure that lets you see Riga at the moment when it's just starting to wake up. We'll take a peaceful ride along the city canal, watching as the morning light reveals the city from a completely different perspective. With coffee (or tea) and breakfast snacks right on the SUP board. While the streets are still calm, the canal becomes a place to capture the day's first energy without the usual city rush. It's a great way to start the day in an unusual way while most of the city is still snoozing.

No one to go with? Often you want to head out for some active fun, but there's no one to join you—friends have other plans, family is busy, and your partner isn't really into it. So feel free to join solo. In our Adventures, you won't feel alone because everyone's on the same path, giving you the chance to have a great time not only in nature but also meeting new people.

3 reasons to join:

  1. Sunrise in the center of Riga
  2. Breakfast and morning coffee on the water
  3. Discover Riga from a different perspective

Aagenosta

What is the approximate plan?

  • See you below at the specified time on the given date at our meeting point Aagenosta (Google map / Waze). You can walk here, roll in on a scooter, drive your car, or take public transport. Your choice for the most convenient way to get here. Once everyone is here and we've patiently waited 2 minutes for any latecomers, we can start. Pumped-up SUP boards are already waiting for you here, and the group leader will give a brief but valuable instruction on SUPing and water safety. Let's hit the SUP Adventure.

If you're thinking, I can't SUP, I've never done it, and it won't work for me, then you definitely should come and try it – we guarantee you'll succeed. You can confidently sign up and join the Adventure, even if you haven't stepped on a SUP board before. We'll show you everything and ensure your safety. By following the leader's instructions and guidelines, it's impossible to fall in unexpectedly. And if you still don't feel comfortable or stable on two feet, you can SUP sitting or kneeling on our boards. We often prefer sitting or crouching on the SUP board ourselves, so it's all cool.

Once the SUP is harnessed, and your paddling skills are so good you feel like you could win an Olympic medal, the sun starts to peek out, and here it is, “Sunrise in Riga”. We'll snap beautiful photos, so Instagram will flood with comments like “WOW, so beautiful”, “I want to join next time, take me along”, and then we'll have breakfast right there on the water sipping morning coffee (or tea of your choice), because after an early morning session and all the SUP activities, you'll want a snack, so it's the perfect time for a warm drink and a treat to replenish energy reserves for the return trip and the new day!

Shortly after sunrise, or at the exact time on your chosen date as you'll see below, the Adventure ends, and it's time to move on to the day's Adventures, so account for the time spent on this Adventure + the time you'll spend getting back from it. This event ends quite early in the morning, so you'll still have time for your daily errands.

  • The plan is just a rough outline and there might be changes, but overall it will be as described above.

Who will be the group leader?

The leader of this Adventure group and your companion will be Adventure Maker Raimonds. This means you'll have a hand to hold while climbing a mountain, a shoulder to lean on before a daring thrill, or a buddy to hit up local parties with. Those who've been on an Adventure with him know you'll head where you probably shouldn't, do things you probably shouldn't do, and it'll be awesome - it'll be ADVENTURES.

What else should I know?

If you're inclined to whine and be grumpy about little things, then this won't be the right Adventure, as it spoils both the group's microclimate and the mood of other group members. That's why we want to see positive adventurers on our Adventures. The group leader won't "babysit" the picky folks but will simply ignore them to focus on those who want to enjoy the Adventure. The group is small, which usually turns into a very friendly company, so it's not the right place for those who want to "pick fights."

We also recommend checking out the frequently asked questions.

Frequently asked questions:

  • 1. What do I need to bring?

CLOTHING - You'll definitely need weather-appropriate and event-appropriate clothing. Dressing for the weather means checking the forecast the day before the event and preparing your outfit accordingly. If it's raining, wear something rainproof, and if the sun's shining, dress so you're not too hot or cold, etc. Make sure you're comfortable. Also, remember a change of clothes, as this Adventure is on the water and you might get wet. In short, your clothing list might look like this: clothes for water activities, like a swimsuit in warm weather, long pants (ideally waterproof overpants) in cold weather, a sweater/jacket, suitable footwear, and a towel will be handy. Then clothes for when the wind picks up and spare clothes for after the event (in case of an unexpected swim). And it's important to be prepared for rain with a rain jacket, because you never know.
ADDITIONAL ITEMS - insect repellent (if it's "mosquito season"), sunscreen (if sunny weather is expected), a thermos with a drink (if not included in the Adventure), snacks (if not included in the Adventure), etc.

  • 2. Can beginners join the activity?

The SUP Adventure is meant for everyone - both those who paddle with a SUP board from morning till night, and those who've never done it before. We'll show, explain, and teach everything.

  • 3. Will the Adventure take place in unsuitable weather conditions?

We care about the quality and safety of this Adventure, so it will only happen in weather conditions suitable for this Adventure. Whether the weather is suitable is determined by the Adventure group leader, not any of the participants or their friends. In case of cancellation, we will inform you no later than 12 hours in advance (before the start of the Adventure). If canceled, you can reschedule your participation to another preferred date for this Adventure or even an Adventure with equivalent costs, but only if we cancel the event, not if a participant decides to cancel it themselves.

  • 4. Can I go alone?

You can definitely join by yourself. On the contrary, many people go solo and in that case, you'll have the chance to meet new friends or maybe even find your other half 😉

  • 5. Can I join with my own personal SUP board?

You can definitely join us with your own personal SUP board, in that case, your Adventure price will be 10EUR, but send us a private message so we can sort everything out.

  • 6. How to sign up for an Adventure?

You can sign up for the trip on our website by clicking the "SIGN UP" button and filling out the application form located under the Adventure description. Since there are many interested, but not all are actual travelers, an advance payment is required to confirm participation in the Adventure. The amount of the advance payment depends on the specific Adventure. By paying this advance, your spot in the Adventure is confirmed. If you cancel your participation in the Adventure, the advance payment is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to confirm participation in another trip.

  • 7. How long can I think about it if I want to sign up?

You can think about it as long as there are spots available. After that, you can keep thinking, but there won't be any spots left on the trip.

  • 8. Is there anything else important?

The trip's vibe and awesomeness largely depend on the travelers themselves, so if you like to stir up trouble or "mess with the minds" of the organizers and other trip participants, then this trip isn't for you. We've had a couple of grumpy ladies before who annoyed everyone, so if you can't control your mood – DON'T COME! The group leader is ALWAYS right (even if they're not), so if you've decided to join, you'll have to listen to them.

Payment terms:

• Deposit payment 20EUR (per person) to reserve your spot upon booking.

Since we receive A LOT of applications but not all turn into actual bookings, your spot is only confirmed and reserved after the deposit is paid.

Age restrictions:

• Minimum recommended Participant age 10 years.

• No maximum age limit for participants.

How much does it cost?

The entry fee for this fantastic Adventure is 20 EUR. As the event date approaches, the price might go up and the number of spots is VERY limited, so don't wait until the last minute to sign up 😉

Included in the adventure price:

  • SUP gear set (SUP board, paddle, life vest, leash)
  • Breakfast snack
  • Hot drink – coffee or tea
  • Adventure stories and jokes from the group leader
  • Adventure planning and plan development

* And in addition, the Adventure includes those things that money can't buy – awesome emotions, great company, new friends, a daily dose of laughter, and perfectly spent time.
