LVEN
For clients

1. General

  1. These terms apply to all Adventures that we organise and that can be booked on our website.
  2. By booking an Adventure, you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to them.
  3. We update the terms from time to time. Your booking is governed by the version that was in force when you booked. For each booking we record which version you accepted and when.

2. Booking and your place in the group

  1. Your place in the group is reserved once we have received the deposit. Until then we do not hold a place.
  2. A booking is personal. If you want to give your place to someone else, contact us first.
  3. Some Adventures have restrictions — age, physical fitness, how men and women are placed in accommodation, or required documents. They are stated on the page of the specific Adventure, and by booking you confirm that you meet them.

3. Price, deposit and payment

  1. The price and what it includes are stated on the page of each Adventure.
  2. The deposit secures your place. The remaining amount must be paid by the stated deadline. If it is not paid, we may release the place.
  3. If the Adventure does not take place because of us, we refund the full amount received.

4. Weather, rescheduling and cancellation of an event

  1. We work outdoors and on the water. If the weather, the water level, a storm or wind warning, the illness of an instructor or restrictions at the location make the Adventure dangerous or impossible, we move it to another date or cancel it. Safety matters more to us than the schedule.
  2. We announce a rescheduling by e-mail to the address you gave when booking. The e-mail states the old date, the new date, the reason, your options and the deadline for your reply. If the reason is the weather, we also state the relevant warning of the Latvian weather service (LVĢMC).
  3. If the new date suits you, you do not need to do anything — your place stays reserved and you will receive a voucher with the new date.
  4. If the new date does not suit you, write to us within 3 days after the notice was sent. If less time is left until the new date, the deadline is 24 hours before it starts; if that has also passed, the deadline is 24 hours after the notice was sent. The exact date and time are always stated in the e-mail itself.
  5. Within this deadline you can choose: another date that suits you; a voucher for the full amount, valid for 12 months and usable for any of our Adventures; or a refund of the deposit, which we transfer within 14 days.
  6. If we receive no reply by the deadline, the booking remains valid for the new date. If you then do not come, the deposit is not refunded, because the equipment, the instructor and the food have already been prepared.
  7. If there are less than 72 hours between the notice and the new date, we consider that you had no real chance to change your plans. In this case we refund the deposit in full on request.
  8. If we cancel the Adventure completely and do not offer a new date, we refund the full amount received within 14 days.
  9. If the Adventure takes place but the weather is simply bad — rain, wind, cold — this is not a reason for a refund. We decide whether the conditions are dangerous.

5. If you cancel your participation

  1. If you cancel your participation or do not come, the deposit is not refunded. It covers the costs of preparing for your participation.
  2. If you tell us about the cancellation in good time and we manage to fill your place, we try to find a solution — to offer another date or a voucher. There is no guarantee, but we always talk it through.
  3. In case of illness or other unforeseen circumstances, write to us. We look at each situation individually.

6. Safety and your responsibility

  1. The instructor's instructions must be followed during the Adventure. They are about safety, not about convenience.
  2. Participation under the influence of alcohol or other substances is not allowed. In this case we may refuse participation without a refund.
  3. You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of your underage children, except where it is our direct responsibility as the organiser.
  4. If the Adventure has to be stopped or losses arise because of your actions, you cover the costs.

7. Health

  1. By booking you confirm that your health allows you to take part in the chosen activity.
  2. If you have a chronic illness, an injury, an allergy or you are pregnant, tell us before booking. This is not an obstacle — it is so that we can prepare.
  3. We are not medical professionals and cannot assess your state of health for you.

8. Equipment

  1. We hand out equipment in working order and explain how to use it.
  2. For damage caused deliberately or through gross negligence, you cover the repair or replacement costs. Normal wear and tear is not considered damage.

9. Photos and video

  1. We take photos and film during Adventures. We use the images on our website and on social media.
  2. If you do not want your images to be published, tell us at the start of the Adventure or write to us later — we will remove them.

10. Personal data

  1. We use the data you provide when booking to process the booking, to communicate with you and for accounting.
  2. Read more about data processing in the privacy policy.

11. If a dispute arises

  1. Write to us first. Most questions are solved in a conversation.
  2. If we cannot reach an agreement, the dispute is settled in a court of the Republic of Latvia in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Latvia.
  3. A consumer may also turn to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre of Latvia (PTAC).
